Toolkit (in Hungarian, Működésben) is a feature series I founded at MMN Mag in 2024. In this series, I conduct deep-dive interviews with musicians, talking about their craft, vision, approach to art and of course, their unique way of creating. With Toolkit, I wish to explore how my subjects work, what their process is, and how they end up with a certain workflow; along with that, I am curious to learn about the tools they use, whether these are straight-from-the-store synths, DIY devices, software-based sound processors or other instruments that achieved a stable spot in their studio. Every Toolkit episode, by definition, also features an expansive photoshoot session in their studio, that takes place during the interview. The photos represent the artist in their natural habitat along with their instruments, thus providing a rich editorial snapshot of their artistic process along the years.
